More great service from My Guy Plumbing! This time we needed to move a spigot as it was in the way of our patio deck in- progress. Brian came out on time as scheduled and re-drilled the hole in our basement, re-routing the pipes, adding brand new parts in the process. Now we can continue with our deck construction! Arrived to the home due to an active leak under the trailer and the client has the water main off at this time. I first went under the trailer to try and pinpoint the leak. From the floor to the top of the beam in approximately 9in tall and there is no accessibility to get to any piping under the trailer from the outside. Only logical conclusion I can think of is to cut open the flooring to access the piping. I was able to somewhat pinpoint the location of the break, it appears to be in between the dining room and the bathroom. I advised to the client to have a contractor to come out and cut the flooring open and call us back to make the appropriate repairs. If client calls us back to make the repairs we will credit today’s diagnostic fee towards the cost of the repair.
Arrived on site customer stated that they would like their tankless flushed. After inspecting we found that the AO smith tankless water heater is 7 years old. MyGuy plumbing does not recommend flushing unit due to unit being 7 years old and never flushed. MyGuy plumbing did write up estimates for customer if they did want to move forward with adding a filter or flushing tankless. For today customer would just like all options emailed over to them
Relocate gas for stove Arrived to home to relocate gas coming out of wall to push stove further back. Upon inspection found that the wall would need to be opened and line dropped to not hit back of stove. MyGuy supplied and installed new extension for gas line and tested for leaks, there are none at this time.
Arrived on site to a possible recall. Upon inspection the nut below the dishwasher tailpiece appeared to be cross threaded so I replaced the nut and it is no longer leaking. Client brought to my attention that she thinks the ice maker to her fridge is leaking so she would like for us to remove the valve for the icemaker. Since the icemaker and cold side for the faucet share the same valve I have to replace that valve and remove the tee fitting. Since all valves appear to be old and corroded client felt it was a good idea to replace all of them under the kitchen sink. The nut on the hot side supply line for the faucet broke as I tried removing it and since it is an integral part we had to replace the faucet as well. When done I tested all connections for leaks with hot water and there are no longer any leaks.

Arrived on site customer stated that their toilet kept running. After inspecting we found that the toilet water level was set to high. MyGuy plumbing lowered the water level and flushed toilet multiple times and everything is working as should. If issue continues to happen. MyGuy plumbing advised customer to call us back.
Disconnected and removed existing toilet from the home. Cleaned surface of the floor. Supplied and installed new wax seal, Johnny bolts, and supply line. Supplied and install new American Standard Cadet Pro toilet. Secured toilet to the existing flange. Secured all my connections and turned the water on. Flushed toilet numerous times to check for leaks. There are no leaks at this time. *Offered discount for toilet due to the water main being located directly behind the water heater with no access to it. There is a meter pit outside but that is not accessible at this time either due to snow and ice. I was unable to replace the shut off valve for the toilet. I will leave an estimate to to cut a hole on the other side of the water heater and installed a new shut off valve for the home with an access panel. *The apron of the old toilet does not match the new apron and whatever was used to caulk the old toilet had stained the flooring. Client is aware and understands.
Performed major rebuild on toilet, replaced tub spout and replaced cartridges inside Moen faucet. Howell Township, NJ 07731
Arrived to the home, client states toilet in the upstairs bathroom is leaking and running. I discovered that the tank to bowl seal has completely failed and the shut off valve will not turn. I provided options for repairs or replacement and client would like a new toilet provided by MyGuy Plumbing. Due to time restrictions, client has requested next Wednesday to have MyGuy replace the toilet. I have collected a small deposit to secured client spot on the schedule.
Arrived to the home, customer states their existing insinketor is leaking from the housing. I discovered that if the insta hot faucet gets turned on it leaking from the housing underneath. I advised to the client to have the insta hot replace since there is no way to repair it. Customer would like quotes if they were to provide the system or have MyGuy Plumbing provided the system. I will leave quotes for the work to be completed and will credit today’s diagnostic fee towards the cost of the work. I also advised to the client that if they were to have an apples to apples GE filtration system on site at the time of the work quoted I would install that as a one time curtesy. Lastly, client has a tankless water heater that is fairly new but has never been descaled or flushed. I advised to the client that we will have one of our tankless specialists come out at a later date to flush the system.
Arrived on site client stated their shower was slow draining. Client also mentioned to me after a few flushes they would see a little bit of water from underneath the toilet. Gave options to pull and reset toilet and to snake shower. Client would just like to snake the shower for today. After snaking the shower I pulled out massive amounts of hair and the shower was draining like new again. Put a camera down and there does not appear to be anymore hair or debris blocking the flow of water.

Customer how to crack ABS pipe in the basement that was leaking behind the wall he cut it open. We came out to take a look and cut out all the bad pipe that he had on the sewer line and install installed brand new PVC tested for leaks all good.
Arrived back to the home to complete the work. Cut out and removed foam core exhaust pipe for water heater. Supplied and installed new solid core pvc pipe and fittings for the exhaust. Secured all my connections. There are no leaks at this time. Repiped water line on top of water heater. Supplied and installed new brass, copper, pipe and fittings on top of water heater. Supplied and installed new expansion tank, temp and pressure relief valve, and ball valve. Secured all my connections and fill system to check for leaks. There are no leaks at this time. Installed new bonding wire as well. *Installed ball valve for existing sump pump as a one time curtesy. *After new ball valve for pump was installed, trying to turn on sump pump and the existing pump has failed. Supplied and installed new 1/3 HP sump pump for client as well. *Client is now a member.
Upon arrival customer stated they are selling the home and wanted us to confirm that the water heater was up to code. MyGuy inspected water heater and found several code violations. MyGuy created estimates to bring current water heater up to code with and without membership as customer is moving still within our service area. Customer stated they are leaning towards going with option with membership but wanted to discuss with family. Customer plans to call to move forward with work by tomorrow. Collected $59.
